South Morocco Trip 7 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga
Day 1: Airport – Marrakech
We will pick you up from Marrakech airport and transfer you to a Riad that is close to Jamaa el Fna square.
Day 2: Marrakech – Atlas – Draa valley – Zagora
We will depart by 4×4 vehicles, we will cross the overwhelming Atlas mountains via Tizi nTichka to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. The last is worldwide heritage site declared by Unesco. We will drive Zagora through Draa valley. Once we reach Zagora we will rest, sleep in one of its hotels till the morning.
Day 3: Zagora – Road of Rally Dakar – Ramlia
After having breakfast we will commence our activities. We will take the famous road Rally-Paris-Dakar which filled with numerous berber villages. The calm and silence of the desert all alone is charming. We will make a quick stop at Ramlia village and then spend the night in a typical southern guesthouse.
Day 4: Ozina – Khamlia – Merzouga – night in a tent in the middle of the desert
Today’s first stop will be Khamlia village, famous for its Ganawa music, we will encounter its people, drink fresh mint tea with them and then we continue our trip. Our next stop is Erg chebbi once we arrive we will leave 4×4 vehicles and ride camels till we reach our nomad tents which are located in the heart of Sahara. You will have dinner and overnight in the tent.
Day 5: Merzouga – Tinghir – Todra gorges – Dades gorges
As soon as the sun rises make sure to get up and watch the beautiful scenery. Then we will return to the hotel, shower and take breakfast. After that we will stop by Erfoud to visit the treatment plant for marble fossils. We will drive by the route leading to Todgha gorges, it overlooks the beautiful cliffs and giant palm groves. After having lunch in the route we will explore the Todgha gorges, the narrowest and highest canyon in Africa. We will also stop at Dades valley and Dades gorges where we will spend the night in.
Day 6: Dades Gorges- Skoura – Marrakech
After having breakfast, you can wander in the gorgeous gorges before we head to Marrakech. We will pass by Kelaa Mgouna, the valley of Roses and the 1000 kasbahs road. We will drive through the High Atlas Mountains exactly by the Tizi n Tichka mountain pass. Late afternoon we will be found in Marrakech.
Day 7: Marrakech
We will fully explore the beloved Marrakech today, most tourists prefer stopping by Marrakech before they leave. This charming is the perfect combination of both modern and traditional Moroccan print, you could see that in its buildings in the ancient medina, you can start off by paying a visit to Jamaa el Fna square, a unesco worldwide heritage site. You can have a freshly squeezed lemon juice from the aligned dozens of shops, and then observe the snake charmers, acrobats, storytellers, musicians…. besides the square there are few recognizable museums like Dar sidi Said and Bahia Palace. You can also visit the Saadain tombs and have lunch there before we steer again to the Koutoubia Mosque although non muslims aren’t allowed to enter yet you still can marvel at the formidable architecture of the ancient civilizations, also there’s a lovely garden in front of it, if you are interested we can stop at the big malls or continue directly to Majorelle gardens the mesmerizing live nature that lays in the heart of Marrakech. And at agreed time we will drop you off in the airport and that would be the end of our services.
