Tour 6 Days from Casablanca to explore imperial cities

1st Day: From Casablanca to Rabat and finally Meknes

We will pick you up from the hotel and stroll around Casablanca’s Hassan II mosque one of the famous architectural masterpieces of Morocco. We will then drive to Rabat the current capital of the kingdom; we will pass by the Mechouar royal palace, the remains of Chellah Kasbah, Mohammed the fifth’s tomb and the Hassan tower. At evening we will hit the road to Meknes.

The 2nd day: From Meknes to Volubilis and finally Fes

Meknes the ancient capital of Moulay Ismail. While walking down its streets you can overlook the Zerhoun mountain which rises to 1000 meters to the north, the city is worldwide known for its quality of olives, Meknes is an imperial city and considered one of the first ones to be built by Ismaili dynasty as a result the city is filled with history and heritage from the ancient times, it has gigantesque gates adorned with traditional Moorish-Andalus sculpture. The city also contains Medrassa Bouanania another heritage by the ancient civilizations, vibrant souks, dar Jamai, El Hdim Square, which is similar to Jamaa El Fna square.  Afternoon we will stop by volubilis and the holy village Moulay Idriss. By evening we will be found in Fez where we will psend the night in a Riad.

The 3rd day : FEZ

You will have a very experienced guide to show you all the outstanding aspects of the city, you will be able to explore its ancient souks, narrow alleys, vintage mosques and towering Minarets. Fez is one of the most important cities of the kingdom, and actually it is believed to be the first built city by the Idrissids, it is the spiritual, cultural, scientific and artistic capital of Morocco. You will visit the ceramic’s cooperation and the tannery to marvel at the traditional handicraft pf Morocco.

4th Day : From Fes,Ifrane then Azrou, Midelt and finally Merzouga

As we today drive by the Atlas mountains we will stop by Ifran the Switzerland of Morocco, and then we pay a visit to Azrou in its Cedar forest where we will watch its wide diversity of monkeys and apes. We will have lunch in the middle of Atlas mountains where we can admire the beauty of Midelt. After that we will continue our trip through Ziz valley, and make a quick stop at its narrow and overwhelming gorges. Once we arrive to Merzouga we will find camels waiting for us to take us to our nomad tents, and as the sun sets we would be wandering the vast seas of sand of sahara. As we arrive we will be met with a traditional and a very tasty tajine surrounded by charming people and a soothing music accompanying us. We will sleep in nomad tents under the starry sky.

5th Day : From Merzouga towards Dades Gorges then Ouarzazate

make sure to get up early to watch what could be the best sunrise of your life, as we return to the hotel in Merzouga you can shower and have breakfast before we hit the road again, this time through the palm valleys of Touroug and Tinjdad, you will be able to watch the Dades gorges, valley of roses. We will drive by Kelaat Mgouna and the Skouda oasis. At evening we will be found in Ouarzazat.

The 6th Day: From Ouarzazate to Ait Ben Haddou then Telouet and finally Marrakech

For today we will make a quick stop in Ait Benhaddou castle, a unesco worldwide heritage and a home to many cinematic productions. As we return we will pass by the magical and tall Atlas mountains, the Kasbah of Glaoui and Telouet. We will have lunch in Taliouet in a traditional restaurant. As we continue we will pass by the Tizi n Tichka mountain pass. And when the evening arrives we will be found in Marrakech.
